Sunday Love Feast
The Sunday Love Feast was introduced in 1966 by ISKCON founder Acharya His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada introduced this weekly festival as part of his overall preaching program. He would personally invite guests, cook an entire meal, serve the devotees a variety of preparations and give a talk on Bhagavad Gita. Since then, this weekly Sunday Love Feast Festival is celebrated in all the ISKCON centers around the world.
ISKCON Perth has continued the festival and invites everyone to be part of the integrated celebration of Lord Krishna’s pastimes. Anyone can come regardless of beliefs and can also sponsor a feast on occasions like birthdays, anniversaries or remembering a loved one.
Festivities begin at 4:30pm every alternate Sunday, including chanting, singing, dancing, a spiritual talk on Bhagavad Gita and free vegetarian sanctified food served to all attendees.
